Covid 19 Policies

The well-being of our employees and everyone we work with at East Coast Office Installations  is of the utmost importance. To help prevent workplace exposures to acute respiratory illness, including COVID-19, we are following the interim guidance for businesses and employers released by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Please assist us in notifying your employees of this temporary policy and the importance of adherence.

We are requesting all employees and subcontractors to adhere to the following:

  • Staff who are not feeling well should not come to the worksite until they are free of fever (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit), signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptoms altering medication.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Limit large gatherings as much as possible, in person meetings, or congregation areas for workers.
  • Practice “social distancing” with onsite workers, when feasible.  People should, if possible, maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet while interacting.
  • Staff that have traveled to or are traveling to a high-risk, level 3 travel health notice countries will be required to avoid East Coast Office projects for a period of 14 days from the time you left the area. Updated information on level 3 travel health notice countries can be found on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.htm
  • We will require that all employees enter and exit all buildings through the freight elevator locations.

East Coast continues to monitor the situation and is taking the following precautionary measures:

  • Where conditions allow, group meetings will be held via webinar or other means of telecommunications. Please check with our Project Managers or Field Superintendents.
  • Handwashing stations are being placed at worksites where there are not existing sanitary facilities.
  • Additional cleaning and disinfecting of high-contact surfaces.
  • Where conditions allow, additional soap, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are being placed throughout work sites.
  • Superintendents must be notified immediately by subcontractor foreman if any of their staff are out sick, sent home or have a sick family member at home with COVID-19.

Due to the ongoing and fluid nature of this situation, the policy is subject to change at any time. We appreciate your support and cooperation in maintaining a safe work environment.
